Like many people, it seems through the years and almost by default, we end up with a collection of themed items. For me, it has been Strawberries! As a little girl, I loved to pick strawberries at my grandmother’s house. We ate them freshly picked and any other way that Grandma could think to use them. She had several strawberry beds, but one bed in particular was rather unique. It was an old and very long wooden canoe. Because of my love of strawberries, Grandma named me her “Strawberry Girl”. Hubby and I were making the estate and garage sale rounds one Saturday morning, but we weren’t finding many treasures. One of our final stops for the morning was an address that had hosted many garage sales. Familiar with the couple having the sale, we stopped to exchange pleasantries and then made our way through the tables and racks looking for something…anything…of interest. I really can’t remember if Hubby purchased anything that day, but I came across the sweetest little serving bowl. I knew from the markings that it was probably an antique.
