It’s no secret to those around me that I like vintage! I also like to shop online! So today I’m going to merge those two ideas together to tell you about a delightful Vintage Shop I found on Etsy. Let me introduce you to Harriett Kroplinski, the shop curator for Sobells Boutique…
(1) Harriett, tell me a little bit about who you are.
I am a southern lady born and raised in Greenville, SC, in the Upstate South Carolina, very close to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I have three children and three adorable grandchildren. My grandchildren call me Grammy. I wanted to be called Mimi but that is not what they wanted, so Grammy it is! Grandchildren always get their way with grandmothers!
My background is in the beauty industry for over 30 years. I am a licensed esthetician. I was previously a salon owner. The name of my salon was Sobells. It means to me, so beautiful. So that is where I got the name of my Etsy shop.
My favorite activity when I am not working on my Etsy shop is sewing. I have the most pleasant memories of sewing with my grandmother. She taught me how to make doll clothes. Some of those I still have to this day. I have made it my mission to share those special moments with my two granddaughters. This past summer we made American Doll furniture and handbags. I want them to cherish those special memories of me as I hold dear of my grandmother.
