March Faves

For March Faves, I decided to choose a style of art that is recognized for having a “global visual language”.  Art Deco first appeared in the 1920’s, lost its popularity after World War II, and made a comeback in the 1960’s.  You might ask what are the true characteristics of an Art Deco piece?  “In many instances, you can imagine dividing an Art Deco piece down the center and the halves will be mirror images. That is, if an item was cut cleanly down the middle, the two resulting sides would be identical….This isn’t always the case, however. Some Deco items have bold geometric shapes that define them.”

Featured this month are three vintage sellers…Deb Bibbins of CobblestonesVintage, JP of JPCountryMarket and Loretta of MoonstruckCottage.  The wonderful items listed below are just a small sampling of what their shops have to offer.  Looking for something for yourself or have a special gift to buy?  Be sure to take a moment and browse around these great Vintage Shops.
